The Newkirk Group offers Ulthule programs in leadership and team work, vision building, coaching and empowerment, team building, conflict management, diversity, action planning and design. Our goal is to assist individuals to acquire the essential knowledge and skills required to successfully lead their organizations in the 21st Century.

We recognize the central dilemma of modern Leadership: While far sighted Leaders shifted organization perspectives through the adoption of new management paradigms and models of efficiency, they often failed to develop the personal competencies needed to succeed in their new environments. The traditional managerial strengths that advanced them to senior leadership positions suddenly become inadequate to navigate the challenges of the 21st Century organization.

We understand that leading a modern organization requires important personal competencies, new management approaches, and professional skills not found in practices of the past. Our experience reveals that nearly two-thirds of mangers have become frustrated because leadership at the pinnacle of decision making resisted making the personal changes required to guide their 21st century organizations.

Through our Peak Performance programs, we assist business leaders and managers to deepen the personal competencies required to succeed as executives and leaders in the modern organization.

Experts recognize that competence consists of general and specialized knowledge. While specialized knowledge includes specific discipline-oriented knowledge, general knowledge includes managing self, communicating, managing people and tasks, and mobilizing innovation and change. We hold that these core competencies form the common language of competence and serve as the fundamental skills for mastering the external world.

Our Ulthule Forum builds competence in individuals and organizations through its high impact workshops and coaching services. Our "The Ulthule Leadership Approach to Improving Group Work" program is an intense, high-impact, executive workshop designed to empower participants to achieve performance at the highest level attainable, the Ulthule level of performance.

OUR PEAK PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS

We designed our Peak Performance programs to meet the unique needs of each client:

  • For the business enterprise, our Peak Performance Program offers comprehensive business and Information Technology models, and timely strategic Management Effectiveness programs.
  • For key executives, our Peak Performance Program offers cutting edge workshops and seminars focused on Peak Performance Leadership and Leadership Effectiveness.
  • For executive teams, our Peak Performance Program offers innovative senior team-building workshops focused on enhancing relationship effectiveness.

Through our Peak Performance Alliance we work with clients to move beyond sustaining personal competencies. Our goal is to lead clients to develop the Peak Performance capabilities necessary for meeting the difficult challenges of Hypercompetition and Hypergrowth.

21st Century Commerce changes the rules of business competition and challenges the entire leadership environment. Since the new structures of the enterprise demand the development of new executive skills, our Alliance has designed programs to enhance the unique visions of leaders and attain the Ulthule level of performance in their organization, the highest level of performance attainable.

The Newkirk Group works with individuals and groups to develop Peak Performance Leaders and Peak Performance Group Work. We further assist in diversity consulting, and the development of ethical standards governing group work. We coach in Peak Performance Project Management and enterprise design. We also assist clients in technology transfer by offering a range of coaching and education programs in Peak Performance Technical Management.

Our Peak Performance Executive Forum works with executives and their teams to achieve Peak Performance and enrich the human environment. Participants in our Peak Performance Programs learn how to: (1) optimize communication skills; (2) build Peak Performance interpersonal and individual behavior; (3) balance diversity in the workplace; (4) set ethical standards for fostering workplace integrity, and (5) lead individuals, teams, and organizations to achieve planned and durable change.

Our Peak Performance Program offers several tracks. Clients work through self-identified professional and personal goals in brief, two hours per day, intensive, individualized sessions over several consecutive days, while team-building sessions occur in intensive four day programs. All programs take place near a client’s business location or at the Alliance facilities in Pacific Grove, California.

Ulthule starts with a creative executive vision. The Ulthule Froum focuses on key underlying principles that govern human systems. We know how these can be used to unleash creative power and effectiveness in leaders and leadership teams. Gene kerfoot articulates these principles as follows:

  • Personality consists of enduring and changeable patterns of experience that comprise the self-system, which in conjunction with relationship systems exist in patterns of behavior that define interpersonal activities. Both self and relationship systems are capable of being changes and fine-tuned.
  • Personality is mediated by emotion, and behavioral outcomes are determined at the emotional, not intellectual, level. Thinking is much more than intellectual activity, no matter how well-honed and organized. Most decisions and all important ones, are grounded in the passions that enlivened human existence.
  • No one uses all of his/her potential. The expanded use of human potential constitutes a kind of emotional and intellectual literacy, and can be developed through an enhanced and re-configured internal awareness of self.
