Peter Robinson is an award winning executive with a background in corporate leadership and business development. Peter provides coaching in Strategic Thinking, Technical Teams Design, and Information Technology Project Management. Mr. Robinson actively engages in Competitive Intelligence Coaching and Management Mentoring. Past activities include systems development, strategic information planning, and business process design. Mr. Robinson brings more than 20 years of successful business experience to his coaching clients.
In addition to spending more than 20 years in the corporate environment where Peter served in numerous positions including Chief Executive of his own firm, Peter has provided coaching on business and technology to both large and small companies. Recently, Mr. Robinson served as Vice President and C.I.O. of The Doctors Company where he led the redesign of core business processes to improve productivity, reorganized MIS into a strategic Information Technology department, and guided the development of corporate executive policy governing the movement and management of business information throughout the enterprise. Additionally, Peter defined the concept behind the Client Server Environment.
Currently, Mr. Robinson serves as Senior Vice President and C.O.O. of Systems Management Institute where he actively engages in the development of executive coaching programs and maintains client relations. Peter also works with senior executives in resolving the complex management issues associated with Electronic Commerce. Prior to his association with Systems Management Institute, Peter served as the Vice President of Business Information with Bank of America where he guided the migration of the Bank’s aging legacy systems to a Client Server Environment, and as the Vice President of Business Applications Development he was responsible for all core business applications including corporate wide competitive intelligence systems. With Speech Systems, Inc., Peter served as the Director of Product Development where he transformed core business technologies into commercial products. At Transaction Technology, Inc., Peter served as Manager of Performance Evaluation and Data Center Manager.
Peter has extensive experience in most domains of the business enterprise having serviced in sales, marketing, HRM, Development, Chief Executive Officer roles himself as an entrepreneur. Mr. Robinson graduated with Honors in Statistics and Computer Science from the University of London. Peter holds an advanced degree in several disciplines including Computer Science and Business Administration. Peter sees Information Technology as a strategic business resource. In addition to presenting programs for Systems Management Institute, Mr. Robinson has been a guest lecturer for Babson College speaking on the role of Information Technology as a resource for competitive leverage. Peter has traveled extensively throughout the world keeping abreast of technical, business, and management innovations. As a person of deep social concern, Peter is interested in helping clients improve their "quality of life" by providing innovative coaching solutions to difficult problems arising from the pace of rapid change.
