Coachning Systems Design

The Newkirk Group understands and accepts the importance of design and employs an expanded activity human systems view to challenges as diverse as leadership & management effectiveness and team coaching, process management, coaching strategy, and career mentoring.

Coaching Process Analysis

The Newkirk Group focuses on executive, management, & team coaching and engages in coaching process analysis as the framework for designing effective coachning programs. Additionally, The Newkirk Group Ulthule approach incorporates techniques derived from human activitry systems thinking, encapsulated within a core knowledge base of self-systems psychology, to enhance executive & management performance. Using the Ulthule approach, we lead clients to more clearly design their personal and professional strategies for attaining the goals essential to the successful and timely completion of core strategies.

Coaching Integrity

Yesterday, innovative business leaders spoke of quality assurance and control, and most executives ignored them. As a result cost became unmanageable and the corporation suffered. In many cases the corporate attitudes regarding Q.A. and Q.C. became a "formula for failure".

The Newkirk Group management approach recognizes that Q.C. attempts to measure quality into the product after the fact. In response to this dangerous practice, and last ditch practice, The Newkirk Group addresses the quality problem from the human activity systems perspective. We more appropriately understand that the challenge of quality is one of coaching integrity rather than simply Quality Assurance or Quality Control.

The Newkirk Group approach to Coachning Integrity focuses on the coachning design effort as the design of human relationships. We accept the quality debate as one centered on the related problems of self-systems psychology, human potency, executive visioning, process effectiveness, coaching design, infrastructure and information appropriateness, management skill, and leadership effectiveness. In our view, quality is designed into the human environment from the first day of any new coaching engagement.  It is not measured and maintained at the end of a so-called product development step.  Quality people produce quality products.

Coaching Management

Today, a revolution is shaking the world of executive thinking and management practice. This revolution is driven by the understanding that the traditional ways of organizing the enterprise, ways borrowed from diverse engineering disciplines, are insufficient to meet the demands of the complex strategic actions of the 21st Century. The fringes of this revolution have already been felt by management communities in the form of new tools, techniques, and coachning methodologies which all offer newer generations of coaching technologies. Implicit in these ever emerging technologies is the "world view" that produced them, a view which requires that all serious leaders of commerce and government become system thinkers rather than merfely social engineers.

Fundamental to the new revolution is the necessity for managing future coaching programs not simply as engagements requiring traditional coaching delivery skills but as strategic programs requiring a human systems perspective empowered by an expanded coaching management approach.

The Newkirk Group defines Coaching Management as the executive level management function responsible for balancing the human dimensions of work teams and the processes characterizing these teams.  Our approach addresses the processes, structures, and environments inherent in concurrent and multiple teams and work groups that impact executive and management management initiatives. Our approach examines the coaching infrastructure and emphasizes the notion that Coaching Management is a complex activity requiring a framework in systems inquiry and the introduction of innovative coaching practice designs through proactive evolutionary guidance.

Coaching Methodology

The Newkirk Group views coaching methodology as a broad-based guidance system designed to facilitate and guide problem exploration and resolution in complex human situations. Hence, The Newkirk Group perceives Coaching Methodology from three perspectives:

  1. As a consultative approach that provides a safe environment for developing and enhancing high performance individuals and work teams.
  2. As a specialized human science domain dedicated to the rigorous examination of the procedures, processes, methods, approaches, tools & techniques, and assumptions employed during coaching investigation.
  3. As a specialized discipline of human systems theory that informs the thinking used to identify and describe the strategies, tactics, methods, rules, and tools & techniques employed during the analysis, design and introduction of complex work groups and their teams. This domain incorporates the human systems design and problem solving capabilities associated with the enhancement of human performance anhd the attainment of Ulthule performance.

Leadership Effectiveness & Success Facilitation

In previous years, some executives saw the criteria for managerial success as the result of two factors. The first was one’s ability to plan, organize, control, and allocate the resources entrusted by senior management. The second was one’s ability to gain recognition and acknowledgment from senior management for any success achieved. In such an environment, many often equated success with luck.

Today this thinking has changed. A dramatic revolution has altered the understanding of what one must do to be a successful manager. Associated with this revolution in management thought is an expansion in the language used to describe management practice. What was once considered good management is now looked upon as merely excellent clerkship. Leadership and innovation are the future now!

The Newkirk Group Ulthule approach addresses this dynamic revolution in management wisdom and explains why the revolution had to happen. We provide coaching to managers to facilitate their assimilation of this important management insight.  The Newkirk Group presents managers with a positive method for becoming a successful executive by being an effective leader.

Ulthule Performance

It is our experience that many executives and leaders are not human systems thinkers. They fail to understand what it means to have a Human Systems view. The Newkirk Group is aware of this deficiency in management education.  We are concerned with the impact such limitations will have on the design and implementation of future knowledge intensive organizations and the attainment of outstanding performance.

As a coaching approach to this "crisis in human systems thinking," The Newkirk Group established a Human Systems Leadership Education and Coaching Program. Our program provides executives with a human systems education informed by established theory and proven experience.
